ABOUT WSO: Beginning Strings Online Registration
Students in the Wilmington Public Schools can choose to enter the Orchestra (Strings) or Band Programs beginning in the 4th grade. Ms. DiLullo and I will be presenting band and orchestra instruments to the 4th graders at the North Intermediate and West Intermediate in early September.
If your child is interested in either program, please complete the Registration Form by Friday, September 15, 2023 to enroll in the Strings/Orchestra Program. We will accept late registrations through Friday, September 22.

Instrument Rental and Information Night
We will be sharing all signup and program information online and via email. More information will be posted here when it is ready. If you need to rent an instrument, check out this list of Local Music Stores (Supplies and Rentals). If a store is not on that list, or if you have any questions, you can contact me at [email protected]
I will begin anyone on STRING BASS that wishes to play. You will need to rent your own bass (the district does not own basses that small), and get it to and from school for your lessons. Learning to play the bass means you can also learn to play the electric bass - which means you could possibly join Jazz Band in the future.
If you are interested in seeing all the different instruments (band or strings), you can check out this link to see demonstrations of each instrument.
The following instruments are offered for beginning students:
STRINGS: violin, viola, cello or bass
BAND: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone or percussion
